What type of training have your surgeons been through?
Each of our physicians have obviously completed a four year medical school degree, followed by surgical residency. The residency period is generally 5 to 6 years, depending upon the training program and research time spent by the surgeon in training. Several of our physicians have then had additional fellowship training in vascular surgery, critical care and trauma surgery, and laparoscopic surgery; these fellowships require an additional 1 to 2 years of training. All of our surgeons participate in ongoing postgraduate medical education programs as well.
