Our vein and laser practice includes three Board-Certified vascular specialists (MDs) who have dedicated Fellowship Training in the treatment of vein disorders. You will always be seen and treated by a physician one-on-one. Our physicians are trained in the latest state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques, including laser therapy (EVLT). We treat spider veins, varicose veins, venous reflux, venous stasis ulcers, skin disorders secondary to poor circulation, and all other vascular conditions. We are happy to treat vein conditions for both symptomatic and cosmetic reasons. We are one of the only vein clinics in the southern Colorado region that have surgeons who have received specialty Fellowship Training in the newest LASER therapies. Our vein clinic has a nationally accredited vascular ultrasound lab that is supported by certified ultrasound technicians and surgical nurses. We offer our procedures in both the outpatient clinic setting as well as in the operating room. Most of the time you can walk out of the office after the procedure with little activity limitations! PATIENT INFORMATION: WHAT IS EVLT OR LASER THERAPY? WHAT IS SCLEROTHERAPY?


EVLT® uses targeted laser energy to seal the vein shut and help you look and feel better fast. Treatment in less than an hour. Can be performed in the doctor’s office. Up to 98% success rate. Immediate relief of symptoms. Return to normal activity immediately – with little or no pain. No general anesthesia or hospitalization. No scars. Sclerotherapy is considered one of the best methods for treating spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a liquid agent through a tiny needle directly into your spider veins, causing them to contract and collapse. This procedure is best suited for medium to large spider veins because it relies upon fitting a tiny needle into a tiny vein. The procedure is performed in the office by the physician and is relatively painless. Depending on the number of spider veins, the procedure may require five minutes to one hour. Afterward, you will wear ace bandages or compression hose for three to fourteen days as recommended by your plastic surgeon. You may resume sedentary activities immediately but should avoid exercise, hot baths and alcohol for two to three days. You should anticipate 50% improvement in spider veins following each sclerotherapy session. Expect that two to six sclerotherapy sessions at one to two month intervals may be necessary to achieve your desired results. Understand that some spider veins may not respond to sclerotherapy.
